"Most competent mechanics ANYWHERE - If they can't fix it, sell it! These guys won't fix it if it isn't broken. They won't ding you for unnecessary fluids or other consumables just because it's "time" or "the right mileage". Make an appointment, these guys are busy (that's the best recommendation you will ever get for an auto mechanic). If you ask nicely, Doug may show you his Mustang collection. He's what I call a "passionate, practical Mustang lover". His cars are beautiful, museum quality, but he drives them!
It's easy to miss the "road" to this business off State St., but worth turning around until you find it!"

"I visited Doug at the strong recommendation of a friend. My '06 F-150 was making all sorts of troublesome nosies, and I figured it had to either be a U-Joint or the Drive Shaft. Obviously, I hoped for the former (a $150 dollar fix vs a $1000 dollar fix).
I was so worried that any mechanic would tell me it was the more expensive option, even if it wasn't. Not the case with Doug! He had it fixed the same day I dropped it off and it was indeed the U-joint! He didn't even try to sale me on replacing both joints (as the other was just fine) as many mechanics would!
When it was all said and done, I only had a $135 bill for parts and service and same day ready. Couldn't be more happy with Doug's HONESTY and QUALITY!!
Best mechanic in the state!!"

"It's hard to find a good mechanic these days, but Doug's Auto fits the bill. First came by when my truck was leaking coolant and I couldn't figure out why. Other shops wanted to schedule me for 3 days out when Doug just had me come in to take a look first thing that morning. Told me what was wrong, found a solution, and didn't try to sell me on anything. I was impressed, so I took my wife's car in to get some stuff done so it would pass emissions. Gave them a list of things to look at, and they helped us out big time. They told me what I needed, what I didn't, and left it up to me. They weren't pushy or trying to sell me, they just got parts really fast, fit her car in as soon as they could, and got us taken care of. Highly recommended. Found our new mechanic!
By the way, if you enjoy Mustangs, go talk to Doug."
